Matthew Holden, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
My primary approach to therapy is person-centered. I strive to partner with the client to identify the driving forces of their symptoms and to design a mutually agreed upon plan for treatment.

I utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques from various modalities such as: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused CBT.

My experience in mental health consists of the following:

I completed my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Kutztown University in 2012. While residing in Pennsylvania, following graduate school, I received my LSW (Licensed Social Worker) certification and began working as an outpatient therapist with Commonwealth Clinical Group. After moving to Delaware in 2017, I received my LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) certification and gained additional experience in outpatient therapy with Mid-Atlantic Behavioral (now known as Lifestance Behavioral Health). I also have experience working in medical and inpatient psychiatric settings. I have experience working with all age groups, particularly adolescents and young adults.

In my free time I enjoy exploring with my family, reading, snowboarding, meditation, and golf.
